The decoration is abstract in nature and consists of reddish and umber bands encircling the outer body as well as the inside of the everted lip. These bands also run vertically along the looped handle with a thin red line down the middle, terminating at the lip in a series of short horizontal alternating bands. The underside features a large spoked wheel or star motif along with thick and thin alternating bands and small embellishments.  The interior has a simple, yet surprisingly effective, X in red in the center. Greek potters in Southern Italy created a large variety of distinctive ceramic objects, including household items such as this fine cup.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"monumentgalleryla","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50521408831740,"sku":"SC.0012","price":1500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0609\/7990\/4764\/files\/SC.0012.jpg?v=1784776878","url":"https:\/\/monumentgalleryla.com\/products\/roman-period-blue-glass-bottle-copy-3","provider":"monumentgalleryla","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
