Beautifully carved in sunk relief, this elegant limestone fragment preserves the lower end of a vertical column of hieroglyphs, reading: "Beloved of Amen-Re Lord of Heaven." The  characters are deeply carved with precision and detailed with incised line work, of which some pigment remains.

Private Collection, England, mid 19th century. with Charles Ede, London, 1976. A penciled inscription at the back with the date 1855.

Intact as preserved. With abrasions, minor losses and chips throughout. The remains of pigment preserved in the hieroglyphs.
