The silver vessel of mammiform shape, the exterior left plain, with convex interior, slight lip to the rim, with two broad concentric, lightly incised, gilt bands, which have a strong contrast from the silver base. 

Private Collection, London, UK acquired on the London market in the 1980s.

Exterior in original state, interior highly polished, with a small area of conservation at the bottom of the vessel. Overall in good condition.

Luxury vessels made of precious materials started to be more frequently used by the 4th century BC. These vessels were often a show of ones wealth due to their sheer material cost. Moreover, they are frequently found in sets with other types of vessels and serving items.
